AIT Becomes Official FIBT Sponsor
To continue our support of America’s gold medal dreams in the countdown to the 2006 Winter Games in Torino, AIT Worldwide Logistics has recently joined Adidas, Konica Minolta, and Omega as official sponsors of the FIBT (Federation Internationale de Bobsleigh and Tobaganning), the governing body for the sports of bobsled and skeleton.
The FIBT is based in Milan, Italy, and was founded in 1923. As a world association, the FIBT is responsible for establishing rules for bobsledding and skeleton competitions as well as controlling all World Cup Championships and Continental Championships.
This corporate sponsorship further solidifies our successful commitments to the United States Bobsled and Skeleton Federation (USBSF), the United States Curling Association (USCA), and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC).
In addition to the current retail space the AIT logo occupies on the USBSF and USCA uniforms and equipment, AIT signage will be publicized on banners, signs and screens at the start gate and leader box of the 2005-2006 World Cup tour. Our logo will also appear on the helmets, bibs, and sleds of the skeleton athletes as they compete for podium finishes against some of the best athletes in the world. This exposure is part of the overall marketing plan to increase AIT’s presence as a worldwide transportation leader.
AIT will be an FIBT sponsor for the domestic World Cup tour and will make its first visible introduction at next week’s World Cup competition in Lake Placid, New York.
AIT is exercising its expertise throughout the tour by managing the transportation of 92 bobsleds and 67 skeleton sleds for athletes representing more than 20 countries, including Germany, Italy, Japan, and Russia.
AIT Worldwide Logistics is proud to enter into this partnership agreement with the FIBT. We are excited to see increased AIT exposure as we cheer on our American bobsled and skeleton athletes to bring home the gold in February!
