Life is consumed with busy agendas and challenging schedules. Organizing a constant inflow of paperwork, meetings, and email correspondences at work, while keeping up with our home and family life probably sounds familiar to many of you. A realistic example comes to mind during a situation with my 3-year old daughter. After being out of town on business for several days, I decided to spend time with my daughter at the local park. Within minutes of arriving at the play area, I found myself juggling my swinging-sliding-climbing daughter with multiple incoming cell phone calls from the office. No guideline or bit of advice - even if it's completely correct - has the power to change people unless it is applied. Being present takes a constant commitment to keep putting it to work in various situations. That, I believe, is the ongoing challenge of being present. I hope you find this observation helpful, and I wish each of you success on your journey to...
