AIT received this award based upon its flagship involvement with the American Cancer Society since 2001. Emotional currency is a term Vice President of Sales and Marketing Vaughn Moore uses to describe the charity contributions of the company. It is simple to understand this phrase once the determination of the employees at AIT is witnessed. Throughout the year, several charitable donations are made to various organizations. Ranked at the top is the continuous commitment to the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer® walk in Chicago.

It is more than a donation that is presented annually to the American Cancer Society. The camaraderie amongst the employees is strongly bonded to the fight against breast cancer. The people of AIT place their hearts into finding a cure. Understanding the dollar is important to foster research, advocacy, and education, the cancer committee places high importance on fundraising but strongly supports raising the awareness level. Once awareness is present and people understand how drastically the disease affect lives, the money automatically adds up.

Unique fundraising projects have increased employee participation across the board, but awareness has introduced a desire to save lives. At AIT, the committee focuses on creating a wealth of information readily available for employees. The goal: continue to spread awareness before coming face to face with another breast cancer statistic.
